Blogging Paralysis

Blogging paralysis. What the heck? you are probably asking. Well, it's the state I find myself in. It's something like "writer's block", except as a writer, I'm not blocked. I can still write and that's a good thing because I've got so many blogs right now, I'm feeling dizzy. I might not feel the dizziness with all these blogs, but I still have to work fulltime like many, many people and at the same time, building up one's blogging empire, you have to almost work full time on your blogging and affiliate marketing sites.

I spent a couple of months before Christmas building up about seven new sites. I wrote and I wrote and I wrote content. I might have used a little help from a tool which is something like Blog Content Wizard (a new update is available now with all kinds of added functionality) and I might have occasionally used a tool called Linky Love from Frank Carr at his site OpTempo.com. Still, most of the writing I did myself and then I might have hired some freelance writers in foreign parts of the world to help with the load of writing when Christmas was fast approaching and I hadn't even made up a Christmas shopping list, decorated, baked or dusted. The stories I could tell you about dust bunnies.

So, let's get to my main point. I think I've reached a blogging paralysis. My symptoms? Well, like I said, I can still write, so it's not writer's block that I am suffering from. I've got all these sites set up with lots of content. The keyword research was done in some cases for the sites that mattered.

Next task: getting back links. Argh! here's where the paralysis comes in. My partner is merrily getting back links to his sites and I'm stuck. I just don't know where to begin and I'm PARALYZED! I'm too chicken to ask other site owners because I wouldn't know what to say. I've managed to submit to some directories, but when it comes to actually asking a human being, oh-mi-god! I've been in this state for a week now and am wondering if the cold weather has actually frozen my brain. It's been minus 19 Celsius here with a windchill of minus 29 C. I'm not sure why I am living in this north pole-like place. I even bought a book on SEO and they have two chapters devoted to the exercise of obtaining back links to one's site. I've been reading and reading but maybe that's just because I'm trying to put off the "inevitable". Procrastination - it's the only game in town right now for me. Diagnosis: I'm suffering Blogging Paralysis.
